POLICE are appealing for witnesses following a serious crash outside Tatton Park which has left a 17-year-old boy in a critical condition.

The crash occurred at the junction with Rostherne Lane and Tatton Park’s Rostherne Drive gateway on Sunday July 19 at around 5.15pm.

It involved a motorbike, which was travelling along Ashley Road towards Ashley and a silver Mercedes minibus taxi which was coming out of Rostherne Lane.

The teen from Manchester, who was riding the motorbike, received life threatening injuries and is still in hospital.

Tatton Park Food Festival was taking place at the time and police are asking anyone who was in that area and may have witnessed the crash to come forward.

They are also hoping to contact the occupants of a white Nissan Juke believed to have been in the area and who may have seen the vehicles before the collision occurred.
