THE National Garden Scheme allows access to some of the country’s most beautiful private gardens to raise money for charity.
This month sees Emma Dearman and Joe Morris, owners of the popular ‘Somerford’ garden, open their gates to visitors once more to help raise funds for the scheme’s chosen recipients, including Macmillan Cancer Support, Marie Curie, Parkinson’s UK and many others.
Their 1.5 acre garden will be available to view on Friday 10 July from 6pm to 8.30pm at a fee of £5, which includes a complementary glass of wine; children can enter for free.
Somerford has benefitted from landscaping and sculptures as well as herbaceous and perennial borders. Guests can also expect to see pond lawns and an oak pergola.
Emma said: “It is a nice garden for children because there is a little pathway where they can play ‘spot the hedgehog.’
The garden can be found at 19 Leycester Road, Knutsford, WA16 8QR
