KNUTSFORD’S Friends of the Heath are inviting members of the public to join them for a nature themed family fun day.
The group are encouraging families to visit Knutsford Heath on Sunday July 19 to enjoy a community picnic and a number of nature-based activities.
Families are asked to bring their own picnic to the event and are invited to take part in activities including a scavenger hunt, a treasure trial and arts and crafts workshops.
Tom Stringer of Friends of the Heath said: "The Heath is a haven for wildlife in the middle of the town and the wooded area is a designated nature reserve. We would like to show you what is here.
Our wish is for everyone to have a relaxed and informative afternoon with friends and family."
There will also be face painting and a giant snakes and ladders game for children.
The group will be joined by Lower Moss Wood Educational Nature Reserve and Knutsford First Responder Trust, who will offering residents a chance to learn more about what they do.
Nature on the Heath will take place from 12.30pm to approximately 3.30pm.
