THE UK’s largest contemporary choir is calling on Knutsford’s secret superstars to step forward and sing with them this summer in a Beatlemania concert.

Rock Choir, whose local branch is on Toft Road, is urging music enthusiasts to join them in a summer singing workshop.

The half-day event will take place on Saturday August 1 at St John’s Church Centre in Hartford from 2pm to 5pm.

Local Rock Choir Leader Kathryn Davies will be running the session and is encouraging people to get in the community spirit and come to join a Beatles track or two.

She said: “We welcome new members and there are lots of great events in the pipeline for Chester, Knutsford, Nantwich and Warrington Rock Choir.”

“But we never put any pressure on people to perform. Having said that, once people have gained confidence and learned the songs they usually can’t wait to get on stage!”

The Cheshire session will cover the classic Beatles tracks ‘She loves you’ and ‘Let it be’.

Every year, Rock Choir performances raise thousands of pounds for charity, and its members also get opportunities perform at world-class venues such as the 02, Royal Albert Hall and Wembley Arena.
