A mischievous dog had to be rescued today (July 2) after getting stuck in the mud at Crystal Palace Park on his morning walk.
Firefighters were called at 8.20am after the dog, named Scruffy, squeezed through a high fence into a locked drainage compound inside the park and found himself in a spot of bother.
He was rescued by firefighters from the White Watch at West Norwood fire station in under 25 minutes.
Pictures taken by London Fire Brigade at the scene showed Scruffy covered in gloop with his tail between his legs.
Luckily, the canine was uninjured and given a quick bucket bath before setting off home with his owner.
