A total of 16 private gardens in Cheshire and Wirral will welcome visitors throughout July as part of the National Gardens Scheme which supports such major charities as Macmillan Cancer Support and Marie Curie Cancer Care.
NGS gardens range from the smallest of plots to estates covering many acres, all maintained to high standards and packed with ideas to use in your own gardens. You can easily find an NGS garden near to you by browsing the ‘Garden Finder’ section of the NGS website, ngs.org.uk.
It includes a garden opening on Sunday 5 July (2-5.30): Free Green Farm, Free Green Lane, Lower Peover The 2-acre garden has pleached limes, herbaceous borders, ponds, parterre, garden of the senses, British woodland with fernery, quasi jungle area with Saracenia. Topiary. Admission: £5, children free.
