TRAFFIC in Ashley and Knutsford is likely to be major issue in the next week as several main routes around the area will be closed.
Ashley Road, near to Tatton Park, and Mobberley Road, coming out of Ashley - and not the one through Knutsford - will be closed on Monday, May 18 while surface dressing is carried out to the carriageway.
Emergency access will be maintained where possible.
A long stretch of road along High Downs and Longridge in Knutsford will also be closed on Wednesday, May 20, also for surface dressing. Traffic will be diverted along Mobberley Road.
King Street will be closed the week after on Monday, May 25. The closure of King Street will be due to carrying out works in the road to connect properties to the gas network. This is to ensure they can access energy from their chosen gas supplier.
The temporary traffic lights on Manchester Road will continue until Friday, May 15. The traffic lights were introduced on Monday while a leak in the water mains is being repaired.
