WHILST a plethora of local beers remains the main reason to visit the second Knutsford Beer Festival coming up at the end of April, its organisers have announced an exciting line up of entertainment to tempt you too.

The festival, which takes place over the evening of Friday, April 24 and both the afternoon and evening of Saturday, April 25 at The Old Town Hall, has some cracking live entertainment lined up, proudly presented by Knutsford-based agency Social Promotions.

Set to provide Friday’s musical ambience is Knutsford band Darktown Jubilee, performing their first gig in the town for eight months.

Those attending on the Saturday evening can raise a tankard to swarthy seadogs Galleon Blast featuring BBC Radio’s Mark Radcliffe.

In addition, Knutsford based events company Event Buddha, who famously provided last years sky cannon, are continuing to support the festival this year.

Rupert Wakefield, managing director, said: "We’re super excited to be involved with the Knutsford Beer Festival for the second year running. As a company we love working locally and this festival gives us that opportunity while allowing us to give back to local charities. It's a fabulous event, growing steadily and we hope to be involved for years to come!"

Andrew Malloy, chair of Knutsford Beer Festival, added: “We’re grateful to local events company Event Buddha for their continued support, and with over 60 beers to sample and some fantastic entertainment lined up, this years festival is definitely not to be missed.”
