TV presenter and singer Jane McDonald and singer Liz McClarnon are calling on runners to take part in the Age UK Tatton Park 10k event.

The stars, who are ambassadors for Age UK, are encouraging as many people as possible to sign up for the run.

Participants can help raise funds for Age UK’s work that supports vulnerable older people across the country such as tackling loneliness.

Some funds raised this year will also enable Age UK Cheshire East to provide programmes for older people in their local area such as its ‘Help at Home’ scheme, and offer services such as information and advice.

Liz , who is currently preparing for an international tour with her band Atomic Kitten, said: “Age UK does fantastic work to support vulnerable older people locally and all over the country, including helping many who sadly face later life alone.”

Jane, who is performing in concert across the UK, said: “I’ve supported Age UK for many years and know what a difference their work makes to the lives of so many older people.”

Runners can enjoy the views across Tatton Mere and challenge themselves to reach a personal best.
