THE 2015 High Legh Robert Moffat Memorial 10k is full, with 600 runners gearing up to compete in the race this March.

Now in its eight year, the race, organised by a Lymm Runners and High Legh Community Association, will take place around High Legh on Sunday March 1.

The route will start and finish at High Legh Primary School and refreshments for both runners and spectators will be provided by the school’s PTA.

The race will be chip timed and this year sees the introduction of a permanent Robert Moffat Memorial Trophy, sponsored by the Moffat family.

The team category, introduced last year and won by Knutsford Tri Club, will once again be up for grabs, with a new permanent trophy sponsored by Costcutter and other individual prizes.

Nick Gerrard, on behalf of High Legh Community Association, said: “As always the support for this race has been phenomenal both from the many volunteers from Lymm Runners and the community of High Legh which really goes a long way towards making it a truly friendly, community event to which people want to return year on year.

“We are looking forward to another fantastic day and would like to thank everyone who has helped to make it happen including the generous sponsors for the event which include Costcutter, the Moffat family, The Mere Golf Resort & Spa, Decathlon, Bears Paw Country Inn and Restaurant, High Legh Park Golf Club, Abbey Leys Farm Shop, M and S Simply Food at Poplar 2000, Kelloggs, Roberts Bakery, Booths, High Legh Garden Centre and RMS.”
