A KNUTSFORD business has toasted to a successful year of fundraising for the British Red Cross.

The team at Gusto are keen supporters of the British Red Cross, which is based on Northwich Road, and raise money for the charity through a number of initiatives throughout the year.

December proved to be their most successful month of 2014, with more than £2,000 raised for the charity.

Stefanie Meachin, business development manager, and Mirek Bulka, Gusto’s general manager, presented the donation to Clare Henderson, British Red Cross community fundraising manager, at the King Street restaurant recently.

Stefanie said: “The British Red Cross has been our charity of choice for a number of years now and throughout the year we do mini events such as afternoon teas to raise money for this incredible cause.

“Our main focus was in December, where we raised a record £2093. We will continue to support The Red Cross and look forward to another great year together.”

Clare thanked Gusto for another ‘fabulous’ year of fundraising.

“Stefanie and Mirek and the team are always keen to try new ideas, the afternoon tea parties this year have been so much fun and I can't wait to see what they come up with in 2015,” she said.

“This is a very important relationship for Red Cross in Cheshire and we are extremely lucky to have such great support right here on our doorstep in Knutsford.”
