TATTON Brewery is raising a glass to five years in business – and is inviting fellow ale lovers to join in.

To celebrate its milestone birthday, the Knutsford-based brewery will be hosting a two-day beer festival.

The festival, which will incorporate its popular Thirsty Thursday event, will consist of three sessions – two evening sessions and an afternoon session – on Thursday January 29 and Friday January 30.

Greg Sawyer, Head Brewer, said: “In keeping with Tatton Brewery's core philosophy, we are emphasising quality over quantity – if you don't find at least a couple of beers that delight your taste buds, we will be even more disappointed than you, and are confident there will be no call for the wailing, the gnashing of the teeth, the rending of the garments, and so on.

“We enjoy working with others in the local community, and the event will be supported by food from Waugh Brow Farm, local musicians including the Macclesfield Ukulele Band, and pretty pink port-a-loos from Chelford Mobile Services.

“As for the stimulating company, witty conversation, and comradely conviviality - well, that's up to our visitors. Cheers.”
