TATTON Park’s farm is set to benefit from a complete transformation – and visitors are being invited to have their say on the overhaul.

Earlier this year, Tatton Dale Farm received initial support from the Heritage Lottery Fund to develop its ‘field to fork’ project.

The project aims to bring alive the agricultural, architectural, technological, social and cultural heritage of Tatton Dale Farm.

Plans include the opening up of several farm buildings closed to the public for decades, including the mill and slaughter house. Other buildings will be re-interpreted in the light of the food production theme, including the shippon, draughting office and land agent’s office.

To help Tatton develop additional experiences for visitors, staff at the farm are keen to hear from a wide range of people – current visitors and also potential visitors – who have ideas on what they would like to see and do with respect to the ‘field to fork’ project.

Joanna Oldham, project manager, said: “We would like to hear what people think of our initial ideas. To help us develop the project we want to be able to show how the new offer will help people to get more from their visit once the work at Tatton Dale is done.

“It would be great if people could let us know what ideas they have so we can consider them as we develop the plans.”

A quick survey about the Tatton Dale Farm project can now be completed on Tatton Park’s website.
