CORRIE star Bill Roache took some time out of his busy schedule to pop by Knutsford Indoor Market on Saturday and cut the ribbon on a new market stall.
The actor, who plays Ken Barlow in the popular soap, was surrounded by stall-holders and shoppers as he officially opened Jacqui’s accessories stall on November 22.
Both Bill and the stall-owner Jacqui Mitchell belong to the Circle of Love spiritualist group and so Bill volunteered to do the honours of opening her new stall.
Knutsford resident Jacqui said: “It went really well and attracted quite a crowd.”
Jacqui’s stall will be bringing some glitz and glam to the market, selling handbags, belts and costume jewellery.
Adam Keppel-Garner, town centre manager, said: "It was fantastic to be able to have the opening of our latest addition to the market highlighted with a celebrity opening and I would like to thank Jacqui for organising it all."
