KNUTSFORDIANS are being invited to have their say on health and social care services at Knutsford Library this week.

The Cheshire East branch of Healthwatch, the national consumer champion in health and care, will have a ‘community counter’ in place at the Toft Road library until October 29.

Healthwatch Cheshire East is seeking experiences, whether positive or negative, of users of health and social care services in the Knutsford area. The experiences, which could relate to care homes, GPs, hospitals or dentists, will be shared with the relevant services and used as evidence in case changes need to be made.

Helen Binder, of Healthwatch Cheshire East, said: “We have significant statutory powers to ensure the voice of the consumer is strengthened and heard by those who commission, deliver and regulate health and care services.

“The idea is that we gather real experiences from the people who actually use the services, and use these to shape the way the services run, both now and in the future.”
