PLANS to erect 100 homes on the edge of Holmes Chapel were once again rejected today.
Trafford-based Russell Homes’ application to build a 100-home development on the site of Saltersford Corner, Macclesfield Road, was refused by the Cheshire East Council’s Strategic Planning Board earlier this afternoon.
A previous proposal had been rejected by the board on May 28 this year – but the developer resubmitted the application to Cheshire East Council on June 24.
Members heard from Jonathan Vose, from Knutsford-based Walsingham Planning, who spoke on behalf of the applicant, and also teenager Abbie Little, from the Save Saltersford Corner campaign.
After a short debate, members unanimously voted in favour of the planning officer’s recommendation to refuse the application.
