PEOPLE who complete a Heartstart course will be awarded a new limited edition enamel badge.
The badge has been launched by Knutsford Community First Responder Trust, and will not be available to the general public.
It will be presented to people who have successfully completed the Trust’s Heartstart course and have been awarded the British Heart Foundation accredited certificate.
“I am asking those who will be presented with this award to wear it with pride,” said Trust chairman Adrian Rees, who is also the Knutsford Community Heartstart Co-ordinator.
“Having this badge prominently displayed when you are out shopping, taking walks or on holiday, will show people you are trained to perform cardiac pulmonary resuscitation and to use an automatic external defibrillator.”
“In addition in the event of attending a cardiac arrest incident the public will know that you are the person ‘to take charge’”.
