TWO King Street businesses have teamed up to create a healthier, leaner, fitter Knutsford.

New personal training business, Nxtep Training, and well-established restaurant, Gusto, held an event on Thursday September 25 which introduced Knutsfordians to a fresh approach to healthy living.

The event saw the official launch of Nxtep’s boutique studio and the launch of Gusto’s Nxtep Personal Training menu, a selection of specially-created dishes to help diners keep on track and stay in shape.

Nxtep owner Laura Hagan previously worked for renowned trainer Matt Roberts at one of his exclusive studios in London and wanted to bring luxurious training to the North.

“We offer five star standard facilities, design and equipment, with one to one training and expert programming,” she told the Guardian. “The studio is designed for those looking for luxury training facilities rather than big leisure centres with hundreds of treadmills.”

Nxtep is also the exclusive retailer of high performance sportwear brand HPE outside of London and the brand’s founder Nick Harris travelled to Knutsford for the launch.

As well as testing out the high-tech equipment and browsing the sportswear range on offer, guests also got to sample Gusto’s new healthy living menu.

The menu, which has been developed in partnership with Laura and Nxtep assistant manager David Bell, offers a host of options for those who are training, detoxing or changing their lifestyle.

All dishes are accompanied by useful nutritional information and the menu is separate from Gusto’s main menu so that diners can simply pick it up without being tempted by more calorific meals.

Stefanie Meachin, Gusto’s business development manager, said: “Laura can only spend the hour session with you and then you leave the studio and carry on your work. These dishes help people keep on track.

“What’s key is that it is in and out – it’s not just about image, it’s about looking after the body inside as well.

“We hope to continue working together as a team and bring both brands together to promote healthy living in Knutsford.”
