A GOLF club in the Knutsford area has decided to close the course and concentrate on its wedding and events business.

The co-owners of Peover Golf Club have announced a restructure of the business, which will see them closing the golf club and consolidating the company’s wedding and events business by launching The Oak Tree of Peover.

The Naylor family, who have been co-owners of the well know Cheshire club since 1996, will now be entirely focused on making the site a wedding and events venue.

The oak framed venue has hosted exclusive weddings and events since it was commissioned by the Naylor Family in 2000.

James Naylor, director of The Oak Tree of Peover, said: “Due to the restructuring of our business we are delighted to announce our new venture, The Oak Tree of Peover. Focusing on the weddings and events market represents a significant opportunity for the business and we felt that this was the right time to move forward with our plans to deliver bespoke weddings, parties and events tailored to the needs of our clients.

“We have a strong team in place and work with some excellent local suppliers delivering our clients exactly what they want for their big occasion.

"Our venue remains a thriving and successful business at the heart of the local community with our excellent track record for managing weddings and events. We are very excited at the prospect of developing the business further with the launch of The Oak Tree of Peover and will be offering more of the tailored service our clients know and love."

The Naylor Family told the Guardian it could not confirm what the land which used to house the golf course would be used for.

The venue is well known in Cheshire and further afield for its weddings, with the Oak Tree of Peover offering a bespoke service and the venue can be dressed to suit any theme.

Brides also have their own Bridal Suite where they can prepare for their big day in relaxing surroundings.
