FOR those who struggle to juggle exercise with parenthood or a hectic work schedule, an Ollerton entrepreneur has ‘worked out’ the perfect solution.

Patricia Koch has teamed up with fitness expert Andy Johnson to launch Workout In, a new concept in online fitness.

The new interactive website allows clients to connect live to an expert fitness instructor by webcam and work out together online, anytime and anywhere.

Patricia, whose professional background is in marketing, was inspired by her own personal dilemma.

“Due to busy work commitments and a lot of travelling, I was struggling to find the time to exercise,” she said.

“Andy was my personal trainer at the time and we used to say how great it would be to hook up and train together by webcam; then I could maintain my fitness no matter where I was in the world.

“I had previous experience of launching an online business that promoted teaching and learning so applied the concept to health and fitness.

“This led to the development of Workout In.”

Workout In offers a choice of small group classes covering everything from yoga, ‘legs, bums and tums’ to intensive ‘insanity’ style workouts. The expert instructor can see each client and can provide constructive and motivational feedback. One-to-one personal fitness sessions are also available.

“We wanted to offer a fresh new option and an easy platform or people whom, because of family and work commitments, struggle to find the time to achieve their own health and fitness ambitions,” added Patricia.

“Sessions are expertly designed by our certified trainers to achieve maximum results in 25 minutes, which when staged in your home or place of work, are much easier to fit in to a busy schedule than driving to a gym.”

To mark the official launch of the website, a large-scale workout will be staged in The Orient at intu Trafford Centre on Saturday September 20, from 11am.

The free ‘Workout In – Live’ session will allow people to try all the different types of workouts offered and each participant will receive a good-bag, which will include a voucher for a free training session.
