AN action-packed family fun day will take place at a Millington charity this weekend.

The Children’s Adventure Farm Trust, is to hold its 13th annual family fun day on Sunday , August. 31

The event will start at 1pm, and continue through until 4pm.

This year’s event will include many attractions such as children’s fairground rides, face painting and kiddies corner from Elmscot Day Nursery, live music, junior sports stars inflatables plus stalls and games.

There will be animals as Stockley Farm is attending with its petting corner, Jema Leopold will be there with her performing horses and ponies, there will be donkey rides by Alwood Donkeys and for the braver guests – a Creepy Crawly show.

Mike Newman will also be attending with one of his cars. Mike recently took the Blind Land Speed Record, hitting a speed of more than 200 mph. He has been a supporter of the charity for many years and will be talking to visitors about his amazing feats.

The charity will also be treating guests to culinary delights such as a Hog Roast, BBQ and a traditional Tea Room. Guests will also be able to view many of the charity’s excellent facilities, and even meet their alpacas!

Radio DJ, Mark Blackman, will host the event and will be joined by football mascots Fred the Red and Moonchester. Altrincham Football Club will be there teaching the children – and adults – football skills and will be joined by their mascot Rocky Robin.

Entry to the event is free and the charity are confident in the region of 800 visitors will join them on the day.
