GOOSTREY twins were among the many smiling facing at Sir John Deane’s College on A-level results day last week.

More than 600 upper sixth students received their examination results at the Northwich college on Thursday.

Twins Daniel and Kieran Desouza, from Goostrey, achieved a crop of A grades in subjects including biology, chemistry, maths and further maths.

Daniel will enrol at Leeds in September to study Maths, while his brother is going to Sheffield Hallam University to study biochemical science.

“We are so proud of our students’ achievements,” said Kerry Kirkwood, Principal of St John Deane’s College.

“Many of our students have received the grades they need to progress to their first choice university and everyone should be congratulated on their hard work, determination and achievements today.”

The college achieved a 98 percent pass rate this year, with around a quarter of the grades A or A*.
