KNUTSFORD academics helped The King’s School in Macclesfield smash its A-level record this year.
In what are the best examination results ever achieved by the independent school, 24 percent of all grades were A*, 54 percent of all grades were A* or A, and more than 80 percent of grades were A* to B.
Three Knutsford high-fliers helped contribute to the impressive lot of results. William Boyle, 18, from Manchester Road, got an A* and two A grades and is going to read International Business at Birmingham.
Sam Collier, 18, from Church Walk, Goostrey, achieved two As and one B grade and is going to study Economics at Leeds. Fellow pupil Jack Cartwright, 17, from Leycester Road, secured three A*s and is going to read History at Nottingham.
Headmaster Dr Simon Hyde said: “The students from Knutsford have once again proved to be among our very best. These stunning A-level results will enable King’s pupils to continue their learning journeys at many of Britain’s great universities across the full range of science, arts and humanities subjects.”
