A JET-setting mum, who carved a career selling bespoke painted furniture across Europe, has set up shop in the heart of Knutsford.

Lizzie Bragason, originally from Ribble Valley, moved to Knutsford on May 1 this year with her husband and two young daughters, Daisy and Bo, after spending ten years abroad.

Prior to her move back to the North West, the former air-hostess lived in Luxembourg and the South of France. There she established ‘Posh Painting’, a bespoke furniture painting service with a large international client base.

Having spent some months carrying out painting projects around the town, including at The Folly and Aunty Mabel’ Seat, Lizzie set up a permanent business residence in her parents’ shop, Knutsford Antiques.

“We chose Knutsford to live as it has everything to offer – good education, international restaurants, artisan shopping, country living with a great vibe,” said the 43-year-old.

“This is also the place where I saw a great potential in establishing ‘Posh Painting’. I felt I was living a parallel life in Luxembourg and France to what I could be doing in the UK but on a much grander scale.”

Lizzie, whose business is based on the first floor of the King Street shop, also has a market stall at Knutsford’s Makers Market.

In the store and at the market, she will be selling original pieces of furniture in unique styles, as well as offering a bespoke painting service for old or new pieces.
