STUDENTS at Alderley Edge School for Girls had plenty to smile as they ripped open their A-level envelopes this morning.
The school reported a significant increase in students achieving A* and A grades this year, with well over a quarter of results at this grade.
At AS level, seven Year 11 pupils took English Language a year early and gained five A and two B grades.
“Yet again our girls have proved that hard work, determination and commitment pay off,” said Headmistress Susan Goff.
“They should be justifiably proud of their success and I have every confidence that they will take full advantage of the opportunities that are now open to them for the future.”
Anyone interested in finding out more about the Sixth Form should come along to the Sixth Form Information Evening on Tuesday October 14. Contact the School Registrar, Julie Bedigan, on 01625 583028 for more details.
