BRUNTWOOD are calling on families and cycling enthusiasts to join their annual bike ride and help raise money for local causes.

On Sunday, September 14, the Bruntwood Ellipse is returning for its sixth year and is expecting to see more than 250 cyclists set off from Booths Hall in Knutsford.

Featuring three routes, the event is designed for all abilities, even those who don’t have a bike as they’ll be available to hire on the day.

For more advanced cyclists, the 55 mile Ellipse crosses two county boarders and tackles some of the highest climbs in the Peak District before returning to the finish line back at Booths Hall. The Mini Ellipse is a 22 mile leisurely ride through the Cheshire country lanes and the 6 mile Family Ellipse is designed for cyclists of all ages.

This year, for the first time, Bruntwood have teamed up with Manchester Bike Hire and are providing bikes for participants who don’t own their own. The bikes are suitable for the Mini and Family Ellipses and are fully adjustable to fit most sizes.

Registrations will be accepted on the day however there will be an administration fee of £2 per person added.

Bikes are £10 to hire for the day, to reserve one just select the appropriate option when signing up for your chosen distance.
