BROOKFIELD Rose, the parent company of de Poel, the global workforce solutions specialist, has presented its charity of the year, The Outward Bound Trust, with a cheque for an impressive £55,918.09, to bring to a close a successful year of fundraising.

Matthew Sanders, chief exeuctive of Brookfield Rose, said after presenting the cheque: “I am very proud of the efforts made by Brookfield Rose staff to raise this significant sum for The Outward Bound Trust, it is a real achievement.

"Fundraising is a practice close to my heart, particularly for a charity doing as much good as The Outward Bound Trust, helping young people to realise their potential through learning outdoors. We hope this money goes some way to supporting its good work.”

Alan Bolchover, director of fundraising from The Outward Bound Trust, added: “We are delighted to receive this significant sum from the Brookfield Rose Group and we express our sincerest thanks to all members of staff that took part in activities to support the fundraising effort.

"Our courses are proven to increase resilience, maturity and independence in as little as a week and this money will allow us to continue our work helping young people to reach their full potential.”

Brookfield Rose and its subsidiaries have been busy fundraising throughout the year through numerous initiatives.

Highlights have included a ‘Run to the Sun’ road trip (Knutsford to Marbella), the Calais to Amsterdam cycle challenge and an Alice in Wonderland themed Mad-Hatter’s gala dinner in London, which have helped contribute to the significant total raised by Brookfield Rose companies.

The Outward Bound Trust is an educational charity and the UK's leading provider of bursary-assisted outdoor learning.
