PATIENTS who have experienced particularly good care from East Cheshire NHS Trust employees are being urged to nominate them for a prestigious award.

The trust, which provides community and acute care across central and eastern Cheshire, is inviting nominations for the Patient’s Choice category in its annual Staff Awards scheme.

The Patient’s Choice award was set up to recognise members of staff or teams who have gone above and beyond in order to provide particularly excellent care or service to patients and their families.

East Cheshire NHS Trust operates Macclesfield District General, Congleton War Memorial and Knutsford hospitals, and nominations are welcome from anyone who has received care at these sites.

However, the trust also employs staff in a wide range of community roles, including health visitors, specialist dentists, school nurses and out-of-hours GPs, serving around 450,000 people in areas including Wilmslow, Northwich, Nantwich, Crewe and Congleton.

As a result, many people across central and eastern Cheshire may have been cared for by health professionals from the trust.

Both patients and their families can put forward nominations for the awards and nominating is easy. An online form can be filled out via this link here. Closing date is 3pm on Thursday, August 21.
