TROPICAL weather, buzzing bees, pitchers of Pimm’s and everything fruity and floral – it can only mean one thing – the RHS Flower Show Tatton Park.
Knutsford burst into bloom last week when the RHS made its annual visit to Tatton Park.
Thousands of people, including green-fingered fans, horticultural students and fun-seeking families, travelled from every corner of the country to enjoy all that was on offer at this year’s carnival-themed flower show.
And there was plenty on offer.
This year, there were nearly 500 exhibitors, including 39 gardens and show features, 85 floral exhibitors, and 22 small gardens from regional schools.
Local talent was proudly showcased by businesses, such as Cocaranti, Zapatos and Delamere Diary, flower specialists, including Fryer’s Roses and Chrysanthemums Direct, and organisations, such as Tatton Garden Society.
The Guardian visited the showground to witness the quirky and innovative exhibits, capture the fun of the carnival and shine a light on Cheshire stars of the show.
