KNUTSFORD Heritage Centre is getting ready to blow out the candles on its 25th birthday cake – and it needs young Knutsfordians help bring some colour to the celebrations.

To mark the milestone, the centre will be having a display on show, documenting its journey from its humble beginnings as a Groundwork Trust restoration project to its key position as one of Knutsford’s main attractions. The display will be in the centre’s Garden Gallery from August 12 through to the end of September – and the centre is inviting young Knutsfordians to help with the decorations.

Paper bunting will hang around the Garden Gallery for the duration of the display and the centre needs children to decorate the flags.

Children can call into the centre, where there will be a table laid out with paper and crayons, or take a paper outline to decorate at home.

Alternatively, you can download a PDF template from the Heritage Centre website – knutsfordheritage.co.uk. Paper outlines can also be found at The Candy Workshop on King Street.

Every child who completes a flag for the bunting will receive a free lollipop. Don’t forget to include name, age and telephone number on the reverse, as there will be a prize, donated by The Candy Workshop, for the best design.
