HIGH Legh Primary invited pupils, siblings, parents and grandparents to share in its final community breakfast of the year on Friday.
In 2013, head teacher Mrs Lawson introduced the community breakfast as a way to thank the parents and families for all their support.
The breakfast is provided free of charge, due to the support of school cook Mrs Topping and Mrs Keeley, who works for Kellogg’s.
Mrs Keeley has consistently been able to provide breakfast cereals to support the meals through Kellogg’s belief in investing in communities.
Mrs Lawson said: “It is a wonderful opportunity for the High Legh community to gather together and celebrate breakfast, which is not only the most important meal of the day, but also supports the social and emotional development of the children.
“The event was a huge success with more than 100 people attending.
“The staff, parents and children were unreservedly positive about the event with one parent stating ‘I love enjoying my breakfast with the other families and watching the children interact with one another’.”
