KNUTSFORD-based estate agent Gascoigne Halman recently gathered its staff from across its 18 offices to participate in a team building day with a difference.

The event, which was based on the popular television show ‘It’s a Knockout’ was held at Macclesfield Rugby Club and saw staff battle it out to win £1,000 for the charity of their choice.

Six teams took part in the Gascoigne Halman ‘Knock ‘em out’ event but it was Team Extreme, who reached first place and took home the trophy, as well as the obligatory bottle of champagne.

Headed up by manager of the Bramhall office, Matthew Clark, Team Extreme will be donating their £1,000 winnings to St Ann’s Hospice.

Runners-up The Untouchables, whose captain was Bobby Shahlavi from Lymm, won £500 which they will be donating to their chosen charity, St Rocco’s Hospice.

The firm’s managing director John Halman said: “Knock ‘em out’ was a great opportunity for everyone from across the network to get together, and despite the mixed weather we had a fantastic evening of fun.

“It was hilarious to see colleagues staggering around in some of the ‘It’s a Knockout’ inspired costumes and of course even better to know that it was all in the name of two very worthy causes.”

‘It’s a Knockout’ was broadcast from the 1960s to the 1980s.
