CHESHIRE East Council is holding a consultation on the authority’s waste strategy objectives, and is now urging members of the public to take part.

At the cabinet meeting in March 2014, it was agreed that the council should update the current waste strategy, so that performance can be continually improved.

A key element of this work is to consult with Cheshire East residents and to feed their views into the future development of the strategy.

The waste service is now governed by the council’s wholly owned company Ansa Environmental Services Limited in a bid to improve efficiency of the operation.

The consultation is divided into five themes: service delivery, waste reduction and re-use, recycling, black bin waste management and working together.
