KNUTSFORD businesses and residents are being encouraged to head to Gusto on July 16 to ‘Munch with the Mayor’.

The intimate dinner, hosted by Knutsford Town Mayor Clr Neil Forbes, features a specially designed menu from the King Street restaurant and is the first fundraising event of the mayoral year.

The event, which starts at 7pm, also includes a raffle and guests are in with a chance of winning a £40 meal voucher to use at Gusto.

Clr Neil Forbes said: “I am grateful to Gusto for being our first host restaurant for the Munch with the Mayor events and for designing the special menu for the event.

“I am looking forward to what promises to be a very enjoyable evening with good food and great company.”

All profits raised from the evening, including a proportion of the ticket price, will be donated to the mayor’s charity Knutsford GROW and good cause St John’s Wood Lunch Club.

The next mayoral fundraising event will be The Great British Knutsford Cake Off on Sunday, August 3 at The Old Town Hall.

The event, which aims to find Knutsford’s best amateur baker, is being sponsored by Waitrose and organised in conjunction with Monckton Properties and The Makers Market.

The second Munch with the Mayor, which will take place on September 17, will be held at the Old Sessions House on Princess Street.

Tickets are on sale for Munch with the Mayor at Gusto and cost £25 each.

Places are limited so early booking is advised. Anyone who would like to know more or to book a place at the event, contact deputy town clerk Lisa Benskin on 01565 653 929 or lisa.benskin@knutsfordtowncouncil.gov.uk.
