KNUTSFORD Town Mayor Neil Forbes took pride of place on June 29 as he was paraded around town for his Civic Sunday.

The annual event, where the mayor is introduced to the town, featured a parade led by the Northwich Air Training Cadets band.

The parade made its way along King Street and into Princess Street, before ending at Knutsford Methodist Church, where the Civic Service took place.
Mayors from neighbouring towns and representatives of Knutsford organisations joined the parade and service.

Speaking after the event, Clr Forbes said: “I would like to thank everyone who joined the parade and those who attended my Civic Service. It is an honour to be formally introduced to the town and Rev Cotton gave an exceptional speech.”
