Town theatre group to commemorate First World War in first play of the season

KNUTSFORD Little Theatre’s has decided to commemorate the start of the First World War in its first play of its upcoming season.

The first play in Knutsford Little Theatre's new season is My Boy Jack by David Haig.

The play, which will be performed between September 3 and 6, tells the story of Rudyard Kipling and his determination to send his myopic son to war, triggering a bitter family conflict.

It's a powerful and moving story which is perfect to stage in the year which marks the centenary of the outbreak of the First World War.

The action takes place in the drawing room of the Kipling family home, Batemans, and also in the trenches in France making for a memorable theatrical experience.

The cast required is eight male and two female and the theatre is holding open auditions on Saturday, June 14 at 8pm.
