ASHLEY Cricket Club has teamed up with private equity house, NorthEdge Capital, to organise a six-a-side charity cricket tournament with all proceeds going to Children in Need.
Children in Need is at the heart of a number of projects in the north west to offer sick, disabled and disadvantaged youngsters a chance to express themselves and maximise their potential.
Six companies will be taking part in the event on June 12, with Montagu Private Equity, Clearwater Corporate Finance, PwC, KMPG and law firm DWF joining NorthEdge in ‘padding up for Pudsey’.
There will be a barbecue lunch and a cash bar will be open throughout the day, along with a prize raffle draw.
The five over matches will be supplemented by cricket-themed games and the opportunity to see prominent businesspeople suffer the dunk tank. Entry to the event is free.
Grant Berry, managing partner at NorthEdge Capital, said: “Children in Need is an excellent charity that does outstanding work nationally and more locally within the north west, and we are delighted to be able to assist its efforts.
“We are also very grateful that such high profile, national businesses have agreed to support this event so generously and we hope that the local community will be able to come along and attend too.”
