A YOUNG Knutsford farmer has a busy year ahead of her as she steps into her new regal role.

Holly Partico, of Knutsford Young Farmers Club (YFC), was announced as a Lady in Waiting to new Dairy Queen Beth Ford, of Beeston YFC, at the Cheshire Young Farmers Rally Day on May 25.

The team is completed by Charlotte Barbour, of Nantwich YFC, who was also appointed a Lady in Waiting at the annual event at Reaseheath College.

Last year’s Dairy Queen Team, which included Knutsford farmer Becky Sharrocks, raised over £6,000 for Help for Heroes and Macclesfield Maternity Unit, and the girls handed over their titles to the new team on the day.

Rally Day is a chance for all 12 Cheshire Young Farmer clubs to come together and take part in competitions and activities.

There was a woodwork competition to make a chariot, which was featured in the main ring Chariot Race, along with stock judging, welding, machine valuation, tractor driving and Tug of War.

A home craft tent was also erected on the grounds, featuring exhibits such as flower arranging, handmade flags, homemade chutneys and cakes.
