KNUTSFORD was awash with red, white and blue on Monday as thousands turned out for one of the town’s biggest social events.

The Knutsford Lions’ Street Fair, an annual event since 1990, took place on King Street on May 26.

Stallholders got into the spirit of the event by donning unusual hats, and red, white and blue was once again the order of the day.

Knutsford Lions’ Vice President, Peter Willgoose, said: “The weather was very good and we had a nice bit of sunshine. There were big crowds and the entertainment went down very well.

“The Lions deal with the community - we try to help people in the community - and this gives opportunity for a lot of local organisations to have stalls and raise money for their own charities."

Peter thanked everyone who took part in the event, including the programme sponsors, entertainers, stallholders and visitors.

Knutsford Lions are on the lookout for new members. If you are interested in joining, contact Peter on 01565631255.
