KNUTSFORD schools are being urged to stay safe in the sun this summer.
A nationwide education campaign has been launched for a second year by Knutsford-based Crawford Healthcare, to help counteract common myths around sun exposure and help reduce the risk to primary school children.
The three-month Sun Sensible campaign provides primary schools and nurseries with educational activity packs, designed to teach them how to protect themselves, as well as a competition to win outdoor equipment and shade areas for pupils.
This year, pupils are tasked with designing a surfboard with a sun theme using a child-friendly tool on the Sun Sense website.
Alternatively, parents can download a surfboard template and post their child’s entry to Crawford Healthcare Ltd, King Edward Road, Knutsford, Cheshire, WA16 0BE.
