THOUSANDS are expected to flock to Tatton Park next month for the launch of a new country show.

The Tatton Park Country Show is a new addition to Knutsford’s events calendar and will take place over the weekend of May 17 and 18.

The family event is being organised by Oakleigh Fairs, one of the UK’s premier providers of outside shows.

Managing Director of Oakleigh Charlie Owen said: “We have been looking for the right venue in the North West to launch a new show of this type for quite some time, and Tatton Park ticks all the boxes in terms of access and profile.

“We are really looking forward to bringing the show there for the first time in May - and we are sure, for many years to come – so put the date in your diaries.”

There will be a wide variety of attractions at the two-day event, including jousting, living history re-enactment, birds of prey flying displays, a horse display, petting pens, arts and crafts, food stalls, and even a horse whisperer.

A companion dog show will be hosted on the Sunday. Visitors are being encouraged to bring along a canine friend, and all proceeds from entries will go to Marie Curie Cancer Care.

The event will take place from 10am-5pm each day. Entry is £7.50, concessionary rate £6, and children £3. Parking is free.
