GOLF fans are being encouraged to tee off for charity this summer.

The Circulation Foundation Charity Golf Day will be held at the Mere Golf Resort on June 13.

The event, which is open to men and women of all ages and abilities, aims to raise funds for the Circulation Foundation, the UK’s only dedicated vascular disease charity.

Andrew Picton, managing director of Independent Vascular Services, one of the event sponsors, said: “We’re really proud to be involved in this great fundraising event to generate vital funds for a charity that really makes a difference and is very close to our hearts.

“The event is going to be lots of fun and we’re hoping for some great weather for our participants.”

The event will comprise of a friendly competition between teams of four golfers and will include challenges and prizes.

Participation costs £100 per person and includes a breakfast buffet on arrival, complimentary use of practise facilities, stroke saver, 18 holes of golf and BBQ dinner in the Club House.

Anyone wanting to support the charity but not wishing to play golf can take advantage of an exclusive spa package at the hotel, which includes lunch, full access to all spa facilities and a spa treatment, followed by a BBQ dinner with the golfers. This package is also priced at £100 per person.
