ROAD closures will be put in place across the town to accommodate this weekend’s Royal May Day procession.

The road closures will become operative this Saturday, May 3, from 1pm to 4pm.

Cheshire East Council have announced the following lengths of road will be subject to the notice; the full length of Church Hill, King Edward Road, Toft Road from Princess Street to Adams Hill, Adams Hill, King Street, Princess Street, Tatton Street, Canute Place, Manchester Road from Canute Place to Sugar Pit Lane, and Tabley Road from Ladies Mile to London Road.

The road closure notice will also be in affect at Garden Road, Hollow Lane, Northwich Road from Canute Place to Ladies Mile, Gaskell Avenue, Bexton Road from Stanley Road to Toft Road, Brook Street from Hollow Lane to King Street, and the A50 from its junction with Sugar Pit Lane to its junction with Tabley Road.

A temporary suspension will be in place on the one way at Stanley Road, from its junction with Northwich Road to its junction with A50 Toft Road.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times and vehicular access for emergency services and residents will be maintained where possible.
