A KNUTSFORD strongman has been hand-picked for the second time to take part in one of Europe’s most gruelling challenges involving 17 obstacles made from reinforced steel.

Fitness Expert, Ross Edgley, 28 of Tabley Hall Farm, will be tackling the 13-mile Fisherman’s Friend Strongman Run at the Nürburgring on May 10 as part of a 12-man ‘Team GB’.

Ross said: “This is the second year that I’m going to Cologne to take part in the Fisherman’s Friend Strongman Run and this time I actually feel half-ready to take the challenge on.

“Knowing the pain that is in store for me is pretty worrying though. I’m just hoping to finish in a better position than last year to make Team GB proud.

“Taking part in the Strongman Run last year was the first real experience I had of running in an event and since, I’ve really taken to it, having completed the Bradford City Run, Men’s Health Survival of the Fittest race and English Half Marathon.

“I’m really looking forward to getting stuck into the Strongman Run again this year.”
