IT has been hailed as an unprecedented success and now the ‘Knutsfordian’ photographic exhibition is back.

In its second year, the exhibition is a celebration of the characters that help to make Knutsford so distinctive.

Organisers, Promote Knutsford Forum, are currently identifying 12 personalities whose portraits should feature in the gallery, when the ‘pop up’ exhibition returns in October, and are seeking your help.

Town centre manager Adam Keppel-Garner said: “Last year’s exhibition proved to be incredibly popular and was focused on our independent retailers.

“This year we would like you to have a say who should be in the frame.”
It can be an unsung hero or heroine, a shopkeeper, or even a lollipop lady or postie – whoever you feel deserves to be captured on canvas.

Suggestions need to be submitted by April 30 as shooting will take place in spring and early summer.

Behind the lens, once again, for Knutsfordian 2014 is Paul Worpole and the exhibition will take place in the same venue, the Old Town Hall. Last year’s event saw more than 1,200 people visit the exhibition during its five-day stint at the Princess Street building.

The 2nd edition of the Knutsfordian will run from Wednesday October 1 to Sunday October 5, before transferring to Tabley House, where the canvases will remain on view for a further fortnight, from October 16-19, 23-26 and the final opening on October 31.
