Corrie's Barbara Knox to face trial on July 23
CORONATION Street actress Barbara Knox will face a trial later this summer after pleading not guilty to a charge of drink driving.
The 80-year-old star, who lives in Knutsford, was charged following an incident in the town on March 10.
She appeared at Macclesfield Magistrates Court this morning, Thursday, where she denied the charge.
Magistrates set a date of July 23 for her trial and granted her unconditional bail.
She was represented in court by Mere resident and lawyer Nick 'Mr Loophole' Freeman.
