A KNUTSFORD shop is celebrating the success of a month-long initiative which will help people from all walks of life enjoy the great outdoors.
Rohan, on Princess Street, launched its ‘Gift Your Gear’ appeal at the beginning of March.
The initiative aimed to enable people to benefit from outdoor experiences, regardless of their circumstances, by providing them with suitable gear.
Manager Craig Warburton said: “We’ve been encouraging people to bring any unwanted, but usable, outdoor trousers, jackets and fleeces in the shop. These items will be donated to the local community organisations, youth groups and charities for outdoor projects.
“Our customers have been incredibly generous and some of the items donated have great stories and histories attached to them and have travelled across the globe.”
More than 9,000 items have been donated to Rohan stores nationwide during the month of March.
