A HOLMES Chapel company is streets ahead when it comes to selling motorhomes.

Spinney Motorhomes, on Knutsford Road, have made their second sale to one of the nation’s favourite soaps - Coronation Street.

The top of the range Auto-Trail Frontier Scout will feature on the cobbles as character Mary Taylor's new motorhome and will make its TV debut later this month.

It is the second time family-run Spinney Motorhomes have provided the Manchester-based soap with a motorhome as they supplied character Mary Taylor with her first van back in 2011.

GTR Group’s Geoff Jones, who bought both motorhomes on behalf of the soap, said: “After initially dealing and being pleased with Spinney’s Service Centre, I found no job was too big or too small, and in my job I sometimes require a very quick turnaround as the vehicle can be used around the clock in any part of the country.

“This spurred me on to consult the sales department for my next motorhome, who I found more than reasonable, which led me to many more dealings with Spinney.

“On a whole this is a company that is competitive and truly values their customers’ needs and requirements.”

Eccentric spinster Mary’s famous motorhome is familiar sight on the street and has been at the centre of many storylines. The original motorhome was ‘won’ by competition addict Mary and was the scene for an unsuccessful tryst with Norris, took Mary on her travels around the world and it subsequently became her home.

Ben Holland, from Spinney Motorhomes, said: “After watching Coronation Street from a very young age, it is a pleasure and an honour to be approached by Geoff, to work with them and supply a motorhome to such a popular soap.

“With sales being at an all-time high at the moment, working with Coronation Street will allow this success to continue.”
