THE first music train of the season will be rolling its way through mid Cheshire on Wednesday evening.
The Time Bandits, Full House and Roy Clinging will be playing and singing on the music train from Chester and at the Golden Pheasant pub in Plumley.
The acts will be promoting Chester Folk Festival being held at Kelsall from Friday, May 23 to Monday, May 26.
There is no charge for the event – just the price of an ordinary train ticket and any food and drink consumed – and a collection is taken for the musicians.
At the end of the evening musicians return on the 10.03pm train from Plumley to Chester.
More details can be found on the music trains section of the Community Rail Partnership website midcheshirerail.org.uk where you can sign up for news about events on the line or contact Michael Ross, music trains organiser on musictrains@midcheshirerail.org.uk.
