The Great Manchester Run returns to the city for the eleventh year and the British Red Cross needs you!

With more runners than even expected to take part in this famous 10km run on Sunday 18 May, the British Red Cross is appealing to all Mancunians who want to use their place in the event to represent one of the worlds most well-known and historic charities.

The Great Manchester Run is part of a fantastic weekend of sport in the city, with the Mini and Junior Run plus the Manchester City Games taking place over the three days.

The 10km route takes in some of the city’s most historic landmarks and regularly attracts many famous faces, who join in with the thousands taking on their own personal challenge.

Any runner who has a place confirmed can choose to raise money for the British Red Cross, simply by getting in touch with our Events Team, who will then send you a fantastic jam-packed fundraising pack to get you on your way.

Senior Community Fundraiser, Clare McManmon, said “The Great Manchester Run gets bigger and better every year, and the British Red Cross is always so well represented by our fundraising runners. Anyone can become part of our running team so I want to personally encourage anyone with a place, or planning on getting a place, to join us on the 18 May”

The British Red Cross will support you every step of the way with fundraising ideas, bespoke online sponsorship pages, training advice and one to one help.
